The Director of Digital Marketing & Social Media is responsible for developing and executing integrated digital marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, audience engagement, and measurable results for KQ Communications and its clients. This role combines social media leadership, digital marketing knowledge, and content innovation, ensuring that all digital efforts align with business objectives.
Reporting to the Vice President of Digital Services, the Director oversees digital campaigns, leads a video-first content strategy, manages performance analytics, and integrates AI-assisted content development to optimize efficiency. They will also mentor and manage a team of social media and content-creating professionals, ensuring high-impact execution across platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Strategy
- Develop and execute integrated digital marketing strategies that drive engagement and conversions across social and web.
- Oversee social media crisis response strategies and best practices for managing brand reputation online.
- Collaborate with the Public Relations, Creative Services, and Research teams to align digital efforts with broader communication strategies.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics across social media campaigns and provide strategic recommendations.
Content Strategy & Development
- Lead a video-first content approach, ensuring 50% of social content includes video components.
- Guide the creation of high-impact digital content, including short-form videos, interactive media, newsletters, blogs, and ad creatives.
- Oversee brand storytelling initiatives, ensuring consistency in messaging across all platforms.
- Implement AI-assisted content ideation, audience segmentation, and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency.
Team Leadership & Innovation
- Manage and mentor Social Media and Digital team members to drive campaign success.
- Develop and lead internal training programs on social media best practices, analytics, and AI integration.
- Stay ahead of emerging digital trends, tools, and platform changes, making strategic recommendations for new opportunities.
- Standardize content planning, shot lists, and execution workflows to improve efficiency and team productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content strategy.
- Proven ability to develop and execute multi-channel social media campaigns that drive measurable impact.
- Expertise in paid media strategy, performance tracking, and audience analytics.
- Strong project management, organizational, strategic planning, and analytical skills.
- Experience leading video-first content initiatives and short-form video platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).
- Proficiency in social media management tools (Hootsuite, Brandwatch,etc.), Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
- Experience integrating AI-driven content strategies and marketing automation tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work proactively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
