What is a research panel or participant database?
Research projects and studies sometimes require that we speak to very specific types of people. A participant database is a list of individuals and the characteristics that make them unique. When a study needs participants, a KQ researcher will reach out to see if you qualify.
What types of research studies will I be invited to participate in?
You’ll have an opportunity to contribute to a variety of impactful industries, including but not limited to education, small business, government, and nonprofit organizations. We’ll have opportunities to talk about those industries in interviews or focus groups or you can provide feedback through a survey.
Is there any cost or obligation to join the panel?
There is no cost or obligation to join. Even if you fill out the initial application, you can decide which studies to participate in.
Will I be compensated for participating in research studies?
Yes! We will be paying a minimum of $X for surveys and $X for focus groups, interviews, and other in-depth research methods. We will pay using X.
Will my information stay private?
Yes. Your comfort and privacy are very important to us.
- Surveys are anonymous—unless you choose to take part in a follow-up (which is totally optional).
- Focus groups are confidential. Only other participants and the KQ research team will know your name or any identifying details.
- We will not share any personal information with clients.
How often will I be contacted about new research opportunities?
There is no regular schedule regarding research opportunities, so participants will be contacted depending on client needs.
What happens to my personal information after I join?
Your information will remain confidential. Once you join, your information will be located on a private Google server and Ethn.io software. If you decide to opt out entirely, we can remove your information completely.
Can I choose which studies I want to participate in?
Absolutely. If you qualify for a study, you have the final say in whether you participate.
