KQ Expands to Cincinnati, Ohio

Memphis, Tenn. – KQ Communications, an integrated communications firm with offices in Memphis, Atlanta, and clients across the U.S., is expanding to open its first Midwest office in Cincinnati, Ohio. The firm, which has been in business for nearly two decades, strategically chose Cincinnati due to its geographical position, commitment to tech, and ongoing support of small businesses.

KQ Communications is an award-winning multicultural agency delivering communications solutions in public relations, social media, research and engagement, digital marketing, and design. Through this new expansion, the firm looks forward to providing businesses and organizations with strategic, purpose-driven integrated communications in Cincinnati.

“As our company expands, we will maintain our focus on providing innovative research-based outcomes for businesses and organizations that positively impact communities,” said KQ’s President and CEO, Renee Malone, APR. “During our Cincinnati office planning phase, we experienced the collaborative nature of Cincinnati through the support received from REDI Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Minority Business Accelerator, the African American Chamber of Commerce, and other countless organizations and people. We will continue to grow and thrive here, collaborating with industry leaders to expand community outreach and enhance the overall flow of information in a way that strategically reaches everyone, especially hard-to-reach customers and communities.”

For 18 years, KQ has guided communications solutions across many verticals, but most notably, public transportation systems, government institutions, K-12 school districts, and colleges and universities.

The firm’s expertise has produced successful results for clients, such as the development of a teacher recruitment campaign resulting in 100% staffing at one of the nation’s largest school districts, and the development of strategic marketing efforts that assisted a commercial real estate firm in realizing a 33% increase in total revenue in one year. KQ also won three Muse Creative Awards in 2024 and was named a Top Agency by PR Daily’s 2022 Top Agencies Awards.

REDI Cincinnati is proud to serve as a convener, opening doors and making the right introductions to help KQ Communications expand in Cincinnati,” said Cierra Clymer, senior director of business development for REDI Cincinnati. “Supporting women-owned and minority-owned businesses like KQ is core to our inclusive business development strategy, and we’re proud to be part of Renee’s journey as she builds her business and helps others grow theirs.”

“The Cincinnati Minority Business Accelerator has been a proud supporter of minority business growth for over 20 years, and we are excited to assist with the continued growth strategy of KQ Communications as they expand into the Cincinnati market,” said Curtis Hollis, chief operating officer of The Cincinnati Minority Business Accelerator. “KQ Communications has a proven track record of success in Memphis and Atlanta, and we look forward to watching its growth and impact in the Cincinnati marketplace.”
