In our current political climate, Election Commissions nationwide struggle to build community trust with voters. We reviewed best practices from other Election Commissions and surveyed voters’ communication preferences for solutions.

With rapid responses, transparency, and up-to-date information, voters positively responded to the Shelby County Election Commission’s social media presence. We successfully supplied content for voter education and awareness. With social media coverage throughout the six 2023 elections and the time between, we increased social media engagement by more than 875%.
